Head of International Cooperation at the Prosecutor’s Office of the International Criminal Court (ICC) since 2008, Amady Ba, a judge, will be speaking on the theme “training judicial players in international criminal justice: positive complementarity”. Of Senegalese nationality, Amady Ba trained in several institutions in different countries. After several positions in the courts, at the Dakar Judicial Training Centre and at the ICC, Amady Ba speaks to us about the need to train judicial players in international criminal justice.

Judicial training in a globalized world : restoring trust and stability |

If globalization is characterized by a trend towards both interdependence and uniformity transforming the world into a "village", it also seems made of instability since the end of the cold war.
Such effects are necessarily also suffered by judicial actors, in all countries. Therefore, organizations involved in judicial training, within this new global framework, cannot escape a reflexion concerning meaning and means of judicial training.
